Time To Play The Game

Holy Crap in a coconut King Kong Bundy, what the hell just happened? Crazy couple of nights in the world of professional wresting, so let's just get right into it, and if you haven't watched Money In the Bank or Raw and plan to and don't want to know what happened, just skip this part, or come back and read this later. So, Sunday night was the Money In The Bank PPV, which had a lot of anticipation surround it because of the whole situation with CM Punk, who contract was set to expire at Midnight, was challenging John Cena for the WWE Championship and if he won, was planning on leaving with the Title, but furthermore, if that were to happen Vince McMahon would then fire John Cena. So, the PPV was a pretty solid show all around. Daniel Bryan won the Smackdown Money in the bank match, bit of a surprise, Mark Henry injured Big Show, whatever, Women's match, fine. Alberto Del Rio won the Raw Money in the bank match, which really wasn't much of a surprise, kinda figured it would be him, or maybe the Miz. Then things took a some surprising turns. Christian beat Randy Orton by DQ, and because of the stipulation in the match, that meant that Christian became the World Heavyweight Champion, then Randy Orton went nuts and beat the hell out of Christian. Bit of surprise to me on this one, kinda figured that Orton was gonna win this one and put this feud to bed, and maybe start something up with Sheamus or Kane, but looks like this feud will continue onto Summerslam at least. Finally it was time, the big Main Event in CM Punk's hometown of Chicago, which pretty much made him the good guy in this whole thing, and Cena pretty much got Boo'd out of the building, not even bothering to do his full on ring entrance. Well, what can I say about the match, other then it was excellent, best match probably since The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 26, maybe even better then that, might have to go back to their match at 25, which I actually think was better, but anyway. Lots of back and forth, false finishes all over the place, eventually Vince McMahon and his new goon John Laruinaitis, who for the uneducated, is basically in control of talent relations or something like that, he's a former wrestler, and is the brother of Joe Laurinaitis who was Road Warrior Animal from the Legion of Doom, who in turn is the father of James Laurinaitis, who was a stand out Linebacker for Ohio State, and now plays for the St. Louis Rams, or at least did last year and might this year, if all goes well in the next week and the lockout ends. Anyway, McMahon and Laurinaitis come out, who by the way, doesn't hold a candle to Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson in terms of being Vince McMahon's goon. Cena eventually gets Punk in the STF, and immediately Vince McMahon starts calling for the bell, ala the Montreal Screwjob, noone sees him, so Laruinaitis runs down, which prompts Cena to let go of the hold, and knock out Laruinaitis, which allows Punk to set up Cena for the GTS and win the WWE Title. The place goes nuts, Vince McMahon starts flipping out, gets on the headset and calls for Alberto Del Rio to come out and cash in his Money In the Bank. Alberto Comes out, but before the match can start, Punk kicks him in the face and runs into the crowd and out of the arena with the title. If you get a chance to watch it, it's worth a watch. So, what does this mean, did Punk really re-sign and this is the start of an angle, did they say, what the hell, give him the title, noone will expect it, I'm not sure, but either way, CM Punk wasn't too shy about partying with the belt:
CM Punk Having Fun with WWE Title Belt
Plus he was then tweeting some crazy things about it, and even posted some pictures of it in some weird places:
Then he took it to the Cubs game:
Notice he removed the John Cena nameplate by this point. The Cubs game was where he was at last night, even ending up on TV a few times:

That's him right about the catcher. So, he is at the Cubs game in Chicago, while Raw was live in Green Bay, so what does this all mean. Well, I kinda have a hard time believing that if he was really leaving that they would allow him to keep the belt and not only keep it, but flaunt it all over Chicago, so something tells me something was worked out and he'll be back, hell, maybe he was never gonna leave in the first place and this has all been part of the plan since way back in the beginning of the year when he and other people first started talking about this. But anyway, what would happen on Raw without a WWE Champion, and what would Vince do with John Cena. Well, Raw started off with Vince telling everyone that there would be a tournament to crown a new champion and that he would deal with Cena later in the show. So, The tournament goes out and it comes down to Rey Mysterio and The Miz in the Finals, but before the match could happen, Vince comes out and tells us that they are running short on time and the finals will happen next week so that he can deal with Cena, now this to me tells me that CM Punk maybe on Raw next week and get involved with that match. But before we get to that, here is what transpired between Vince and Cena:

Wow, did not see that one coming, So Vince McMahon is gone and now Triple H is in charge, now granted this isn't the first time that they have written Vince McMahon off of TV, for instance 4 years ago this happened:
Of course he was back just a few weeks later, then there was this incident:
Hell, even last year the Nexus put Vince in a "Coma" and he was "braindead":
So, what now, is Vince really gone, well storyline and TV wise, is CM Punk really gone? Will we get a new WWE Champion next week? What does Triple H have in store? Maybe the newly unemployed CM Punk and Vince McMahon will join forces, who the hell knows, but it should be interesting. Also, if you are a fan of Bill Simmons from ESPN, he is going to be having CM Punk on his Podcast sometime this week, that should be good, check that out when you can.

So, in other news this weekend Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony broke up, and while I normally don't really care about this kinda of stuff, and honestly I still don't, but I happened to be hanging out with some people that night and mentioned it, someone then was talking about how they were next to someone in their car and they were blasting "Waiting For Tonight", so I asked if they played "Jenny From the Block" to which she said that was the next song that came on, I then went on to say that song:
Samples, or stole it's hook from the Beatnuts:
Meanwhile I had my ipod playing music, and of course the next song that came on was The Beatnuts "Watch Out Now" it was messed up, there was definitely like a weird pause as we all looked at each other and wondered how the hell that just happened. The ipod was completely on random, noone touched it. I was then accused of using some kind of wizardry, which was not the case at all, but it does bring me to my next topic.

The New and Final Harry Potter Movie came out this weekend and broke all sorts of box office records including the all time highest grossing opening weekend, beating the 3 year old Record of The Dark Knight, which was $158.4 million, and is now $169.2 million. So, for Harry Potter it all come full circle as when the first once came out back in 2001, it set the record at $90.3 million beating out the 4 year old record of The Lost Word: Jurassic Park, which set it at $73.1 million all the was back in 1997, that Harry Potter movie would not have that title long as Spider-Man would overtake it only six months later. Of course it should be noted that attached to this Harry Potter movie was the first trailer for the sequel to the movie it dethroned, The Dark Knight Rises, and while I don't necessarily think that people were going to Harry Potter just to see the Batman Trailer, which was the cause back in 1998 when people were going in droves to Meet Joe Black, a 3 hour long romantic film with Brad Pitt, cause it had the first trailer for Star Wars Episode I: Phantom Menace Attached to it, of course in those days of dial up internet it was as easy to just look it up online, like I can now, so if you haven't seen it, here is the Trailer for The Dark Knight Rises:
So, lets see what happens in a year, I think we might see this record broken again.

Breaking Bad returned this past Sunday, it was pretty awesome, and I don't want to ruin anything cause people might have missed it or maybe are still catching up on the first three seasons, and if you are not, you should be, get them anyway you can and start watching. It should be noted that since there was a bigger wait this year between seasons, Bryan Cranston who had won the Emmy for best actor in Drama 3 years in a row, is not eligible to win, as was present when they announced the nominees last week, I'm get more into those as we get closer to the actual awards, I'll make my predictions and so forth, I have some issues with the whole process, mainly what they consider to be guest stars as opposed to people actually on the show, don't really understand the criteria.

Finally, want to address something that I spoke upon in my last post. I said some stuff about hating someone, and apparently my hatred is powerful, now am I saying that I am Darth Vader or Carrie and my hate has some kind of special powers or something, no, probably not, and I'm sure the whole situation is just one big coincidence, but still I never wanted anyone to get hurt, and now I feel bad. So, I'm going back on my statement, I do not hate anyone, in fact I love everyone, everyone is great. Ok, that's probably going a little to far, but rather then hating people, I have come to the conclusion that it's probably better to "nothing" people. Like I don't like you, I don't dislike you, I don't love you, I don't hate you, I nothing you. So, there it is, kinda of like the song by Pearl Jam "Nothingman":
Thanks for reading, have a great time.
