Alright, here it is the original short film called Saw that eventually lead to the first movie, and then the entire series. It stars Leigh Whannell and was directed by James Wan, both of whom wrote it, and would then of course go on to write the first film and aspects of the others, and James Wan would also go on to direct the first film and Leigh Whannell would go on to star in the first film and cameo in later ones, and since it's on you tube, here it is:
Not gonna bother doing a running diary for this one, just gonna kinda review it. So, basically they story is pretty much Amanda's story from the first Saw, head trap, which actually went on to play a big roll in the last 2 movies as well. They also used the hospital orderly thing that Ben Linus ended up being in the first film as well. They gave him the name David he would ofcourse go on to be Adam, I guess maybe cause they wanted it to be a different character, needed to change up the name. Of course the creepy doll had to be in there, that thing is really the only thing that has a connection to all the films. They also had a nice little connection at the end with showing a bathroom, and we know how much that was used in the series.
So, there you have it, the Sawathon is complete, and we can all now go on with out normal lives, but don't take them for granted, or else you may find yourself in a jigsaw game one day. Or not, it's just movies. Hope you enjoyed this, might do some more of these in the future, not sure what or when, but we shall see.
