Things be Perkolating

Well, for a team that a few weeks ago wasn't planning on doing anything big at the trade deadline, the Celtics did a lot of stuff today. Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson to OKC for Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic. Ok, clearly the Celtics needed a SF to back up Pierce, but given the fact that both O'Neal's are hurt, not sure that given up Perk was the greatest thing to do, although maybe the knee injury is worst then they said, and his contract is expiring. But also giving up Nate, ok, so that leaves Von Wafer and Avery Bradley to back up Rondo? Jeff Green is a solid pickup, Krstic I'm not so thrilled about, but we are gonna need a big man given that the Celtics also traded Luke Harangody and Semih Erden to Cleveland Cavs for a 2nd round draft pick, which is Minnesota's 2013 2nd round pick. Then on top of all this, the Celtics traded Marquis Daniels, who could be out for the rest of the year, to Sacramento for cash considerations. What does this all mean, well in addition to Green and Krstic, it also opens up roster spots for the Celtics to sign anyone that ends up being bought out, Troy Murphy and Rip Hamilton's names have come up so far, not sure if either will happen, or if they are good fits, but we shall see, the roster is certainly not set at this point. Tonight will be interesting, assuming Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic aren't there, although they might be, not that far to Denver, and with Shaq and Jermaine still out, there will only be 8 guys available, so could be interesting.

In other basketball news, a bit surprised by the Deron Williams trade, but I guess since the Nets missed out on Carmelo and had a package ready to go, Deron had kinda run himself out of Utah, and I don't think he had an intention of signing an extension with them, so there you go. But it's kinda interesting to see a team like the Nets, that really have no chance of doing anything this year, getting a big time player. As far as all the other trades, most of them just seemed like teams in the middle of the pack just moving stuff around, mostly for money reasons then anything else, but whatever.

Ok, so forgot to mention this in the last post, but Blake Griffin dunking over a car, was kinda cool and all, the pass out of the sunroof by Baron Davis was pretty cool, so cool in fact it got him traded to Cleveland. With all that said, the dunk itself was not all that impressive,

So, after having a bit of a scare with my car back in December and thinking that something was really wrong with it, and it turned out to be some clamp or something minor, don't think that I'm gonna be as lucky this time around, something appears to be really wrong with it, making some really funky noises.

Work has sucked this week, good thing I'm on vacation next week, although that could set up some bad things for when I come back, we shall see. Looks like it should be a good week to go skiing, there about to get a nice little snow storm up there right in time for me to go up and hit the slopes, should be good.

Ok, that's all I got for tonight, but as always a little treat for you all, this one is a double dose and for no real reason.

Pretty Awesome parody if you ask me.
