You Can't Fumble and If You Gots to Rumble, Then Word to Bryant Gumble

Ok, now what you have all been waiting for: First of all huge win by the Celtics yesterday, obviously doesn't make up for losing game 7 last year, but good win and Paul Pierce really stepped it up like he usually does in his hometown. NHL All-Star game was typically, good to see Tim Thomas get the win, but then Big Z loses, so not sure how I really feel about this new format. Would have been interesting who the crowd would have cheered for if any of the Hurricanes were on the other team, but they weren't of course. Big Z was a big winner the night before at the skills games, hardest shot record, breaking his own record with 105.9mph, that big man can shoot a hard puck. Didn't watch any of the Pro Bowl, looks like it sucked. and the reason I did not watch it, was because I was at the TD Garden watching the Royal Rumble in person.

The Royal Rumble was a pretty solid, good times some good twists and surprises, I tried to take some pictures, but the camera on my phone kinda sucks and I was up in the Balcony, so kinda far away to really see much, but nonetheless, got there and there was a dark match going on, R-Truth beat someone, not sure who, missed it. The I got to my seat, and this was what the Stage area looked like:

The show started, and since there were only 4 matches, things kicked out with the World Heavyweight Championship match, which is kinda bizarre, can't really remember a PPV starting with the world Title match, but there it is. Edge vs Dolph Ziggler w Vicki Guerrero, spear was "banned" Which of course means that Edge was gonna win after using it, which to some degree he did,  Kelly Kelly coming out and attacked Vicki Guerrero, not really sure why, made no sense, last time we saw Kelly Kelly she was dealing with Drew McIntyre which had nothing to do with anyone involved in this match. So, then the ref knocked down, and Edge hits the spear, then finished him off with his "brother" Christian's move, Kilswitch, used to be called unprettier and impaler. And here he is celebrating his win:

Next up The Miz told everyone he is Awesome and Tom Brady sucks, to get cheap heat, which moved right into the WWE Championship match between The Miz with Alex Riley vs Randy Orton, here is Randy Orton's entrance:

Randy Orton was in control, Alex Riley had gotten involved many times, and then someone was coming out, and it's weird when you are there, especially in the balcony cause you can tell that something is going on and someone is coming out, cause all the camera men start running around, so out came the new nexus sans CM Punk, Randy Orton gets distracted, then throws Alex Riley into Nexus, of course knocking out the Ref in the processes, and after Randy Orton hits the Miz with an RKO, CM Punk, who was hiding under the ring gave Randy Orton a GTS and allowed The Miz to get the victory:

Why did CM Punk and Nexus help out The Miz and attack Randy Orton, no idea, maybe to setup CM Punk vs Randy Orton at Wrestlemania perhaps?

Next up was the Divas match, supposed to be 2 on 1, turns into a 4 way, Eve who wasn't supposed to be in the match win, whatever, most people went to the bathroom and to get food.

Then it was time for the Rumble, CM Punk got #1, but then Wade Barrett and the Corre came out all came out, which prompted the Nexus to come out and they are started brawling, eventually everything settled down and the Rumble started. Throughout most the beginning of the Rumble, CM Punk and the nexus, who all seemed to be coming out early were in control. One crazy spot by John Morrison, when he was on the ring apron got knocked into the barrier, but didn't hit the floor, then was able to climb on the barrier and jump back on the stairs and back into the ring was pretty cool. Punk an Nexus remained incontrol when the first surprise of the rumble came, Can You Dig It Sucka?

 Yup, that's Booker T making his return and about to do the Spin-A-Roonie, before being promptly eliminated by the Nexus, who would once again remain in control untill...

Hometown hero John Cena would come in a clear house of Nexus, then with the help of Hornswoggle, stay in control until the other hometown hero Kofi Kingston would come out, they would have a little big a stare down, was it cause they are both from around here, I don't know, but then things started filling up again, and then the 2nd surprise of the Rumble took place:

Big Daddy Cool Diesel, making his first appearance, as Diesel anyway in 15 years. Unfortunately I think he still was wearing the same old gear, looked a little tight. Also interesting to note that Diesel makes his return in the same building that Shaq Diesel now calls home, and for anyone that has played the new NBA Jam, for some reason the announcer just calls Shaq Diesel the whole time. He lasted a little bit longer then Booker T, but not much and after he got eliminated, had a stare down with The Big Show as he was coming out, another possible Wrestlemania Match there?

At some point Alex Riley entered, and The Miz came out with him to do commentating, this would be important later on.

Ok, so people are entering and getting eliminated, and once again it's weird being there, cause you could tell when certain guys were gonna be coming out, like when Alberto Del Rio was about to come out you could see the Car getting ready and Ricardo Rodriguez getting ready. Also for guys that have pyro, they had to set it up cause there was no stage. Santino Marella came out at one point and got knocked out and to the floor, but not over the top, know while on TV, you couldn't see him, from our view we could see him the whole time, this became important later. So, all the people came out Kane was #40, also interesting to note that both Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton were in the Rumble after losing their matches earlier.

It eventually came down to Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett, Randy Orton, John Cena and (Santino Marella). Alex Riley, who had been eliminated came back out and distracted Cena, which allowed the Miz to come from the announcers table and eliminate Cena. Seems like that will probably end up being a Wrestlemania match. After this Randy Orton eliminated Wade Barrett, and right behind him Alberto Del Rio eliminated Randy Orton, with Santino still on the floor, Alberto Del Rio thought he had one, Santino came in hit the Cobra on Del Rio, but when he went to throw him out, Del Rio turned it around on him and threw him out and Officially won the Royal Rumble. Ricardo Rodriguez then ran around yelling Alberto Del Rio's name, and it was funny cause you could see the Refs telling him to keep going. Anyway, here is Alberto Del Rio celebrating:

And with that and some fireworks, the Royal Rumble was over, good show.

Update on Sawathon, it will continue, not sure when, but I will continue it at some point soon. Saw IV is next up, and from what I remember with that one, they did something pretty weird with it, don't want to ruin it, and not totally sure it was actually that one or not, we shall see soon.

More snow, great, a couple months ago I joked around that I was gonna go into hibernation for the winter, probably should have followed through on that. I hate fake people. It will be interesting tomorrow during media day for the Super Bowl if anyone makes any Jay and Silent Bob references to Clay Matthews, I just want him to finish answering one question by saying Snoochie Bootchies, is that too much to ask? It's more fun to burn bridges then mend fences. Ok, so anyone else notice that the guy from the Miller Lite commercial that is wearing skinny jeans, is the same same guy that wins the Degree contest where the guys have meat hanging off them and running from wolves?
